Your files remain yours
Nothing you open here is transmitted, stored or claimed. No licence to your pictures is granted to this site by using it, because this site never receives them — the conversion happens on your own machine and the result is written to your own downloads folder.
You are responsible for having the right to convert what you convert. If a photograph belongs to somebody else, this tool does not change that.
No warranty, and keep the originals
The converter is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Browsers differ, codecs differ, and a file that converts perfectly on one machine can fail on another for reasons neither of us controls.
Keep your original files until you have checked the output. That is good practice with any converter and it is the only sensible way to work with a lossy format: the JPG written here is a new picture, and the detail the encoder discarded is not recoverable from it.
To the extent the law allows, PhotoToJpg and the people who run it are not liable for any loss of data, loss of quality, missed deadline or consequential damage arising from using or being unable to use this site.
What you may not do here
Do not use this site to process material that is illegal to possess or distribute. Do not attempt to interfere with its availability for other people — automated hammering, scripted abuse, or anything intended to degrade the service. Do not present the site or its output as your own product or as endorsed by you.
You may use the converted files for anything you like, commercial work included. There is no watermark, no attribution requirement and no per-file limit.
Advertising, availability and changes
Advertising is how the domain and the hosting are meant to be paid for, and the reading material below the tool has positions set aside for it. Nothing fills them at present: no advert is served here yet, because the account has not been through review. Once it is approved, the adverts are supplied by a third party, and what they show is neither chosen nor endorsed here.
